Bradenton Beach
(Family fun and nightlife in one!)
< 2 Miles to Bridge Street
Take a short walk or ride across the Cortez Bridge. While at the top you can take in some really great views of the Island and the Intracoastal waterway. Once across your at Bradenton Beach. You go left to Coquina Beach and Long Boat Key, or right down to Holmes Beach and the Tip of Anna Maria Island (referred to as Bean Point). Either way you go is a treat, but before you head right, you should definitely go left a couple of blocks and the visit the Historic Bridge Street on Anna Maria Island where you find great shops, dinning, a fishing or sight seeing pier (with great swings at the end) shopping, Putt Putt, night life, and so much more!
Anna Maria Island
(7-Miles of sugar sand & unforgettable sunsets)
< 2 Miles to Anna Maria Island
AMI stretches from Coquina Beach (near Longboat Pass) to the tip of the Island at Bean Point. See surf fishing at dusk, pier fishing all day, dolphins, sand dollars, shells (Coqina shells a plenty - hence the name), and take in the salty beach vibes morning, noon, and night. Another personal favorite... grabbing a coffee and walking the sugar sand beach, while shelling at sunrise or sunset. Listening to the waves is truly the best! Coquina Beach
(All day swimmin', shellin', fishin', and grillin')
< 3 Miles to Coquina Beach
Begins at the bottom of the island at Longboat pass (bridge to Longboat Key), and stretches a good distance north towards Cortez Beach. With lifeguards on duty, kids play area, showers, bathrooms, and a snack/drink bar, this is another great place to set up at the beach for the day, especially if you like to fish because you can do both easily. Kiddos LOVE the great pirate ship play area and parents love the shade and amenities.
Great place for sunsets and dolphin spotting too.
Holmes Beach
(Heart of the Island)
< 5 Miles to Holmes Beach
At the center of the island a second bridge comes over from the mainland and brings you to the Manatee Public Beach.
